Pot Stoodle recently dug out Chopped, gave it a little refresh and dragged it along to Wycombe MAG's Chinnor Bike Dayz where it won the trophy for Best Small Bike, upsetting a few 'proper bikers' along the way.

VAGFest - formerly GTi Fest - is on at Santa Pod on Sunday July 11th, that's next weekend or one week before the Retro Show or 2 weeks before Bug Jam.

For many years, the GTI Festival has attracted hordes of Volkswagen enthusiasts to several different venues around the UK. But as VAGfest takes over the GTI Festival calendar date, it is THE one day show for all enthusiasts of all VAG marques. SEAT, Skoda, Audi and of course Volkswagen, including T3, T4 and T5 Vans - hell we may as well include Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti too. VAGfest is a show where all VAG vehicles are welcome with open arms.

RWYB - £25 per day, VAG vehicles only.

Dizzy Rascals - And they said drag racers don't do bends. Completely new for VAGfest, and free to take part, is the quarter mile 'roundabout' racing. 4 laps of the purpose built roundabout gives you the most bizarre measured quarter mile anywhere! Single cars, and sprint style timing, with awards for the fastest boyz and girlz! It’s a completely untried combination of sprint and autotest, but should be ideally suited to front wheel drive cars. Try it - you might like it!

Girlz & Dubz - And for the first time, a show within a show.. Girlx N Dubz features the coolest cars and the hottest owners! Not quite a 'Show & Shine', The contest will take the form of a chat about your car, and your interest in the VW 'lifestyle', and it’s for each girl to convince the show audience to make the most noise in their support. A decibel meter will be on hand so that there can be no doubt about the winner. Every contestant will receive an exclusive Girlz N Dubs 'T 'shirt. Entry is free, and open to all female owners of VAG cars.

This weekend & Bug Jam news

Firstly a reminder that the Field Farm Festival is on this weekend. Held just off junction 6 of the M40 (near Chinnor) it's a free festival with 15 bands on 2 stages - ranging from rock to trip hop and blue grass to metal plus there's free camping and a 5-a-side footy competition.

Secondly - Tim, our official Lo 'E' Nuf - Santa Pod liason, has received this message about Bug Jam.

Arrive 3 or more in a car, and have a drink on us! We’ll be handing out a £15 bar voucher for each vehicle that arrives with three or more paying adults on board. Save petrol, save the planet, save a few quid for booze, soft drinks and water!

Don't forget Bug Jam tickets/club camping passes are only available from Ticketmaster Tim - tickets@loenuf.com - and are £35 in advance.

Lastly - a week before Bug Jam is the Retro Show on Sunday July 18th.

The Retro Show is a classic car and bike show with a difference: Unlike most shows where you park up in a field and sip tea, this is an action-packed day where you can take part in the racing and show & shine whatever type of retro machinery you have.

Retro Show is open to all retro vehicles including cars, bikes, scooters and lorries from the 1950’s to the 1980’s. Featuring: all day RWYB, Drag Demos, Drag Racing, Show & Shine, Traders, Auto Jumble, Club Stands, Camping, Vehicles 4 Sale Paddock, Evening Entertainment, Fun Fair Rides and more.

Tickets are £15 for adults, kids under 13 go free.

This Sunday, June 6th, is the Stonor Park VW Show, put on by the ABVWC
All the usual fun and games.

Adults £8, kids under 16 free
Car Boot plots are £10

If you're coming via the M4 be aware the A404(M) at Junction 8/9 is closed this weekend.

Lo 'E' Nuf media star

Chris Oakman, in between lashing up Minis and ripping up Cats' Eyes with his Passat, races in the Mini Challenge for OX4 Racing and has been getting much attention. He's had write ups in local and national press (Autosport) as well as carrying an in-car camera for the TV coverage on Motors TV.
