Dubfreeze, the VW show season opener, is next Sunday at the Staffordshire Showground near Stafford.

Tickets: Adults £10. Accompanied children under 16 go free.

Saturnight camping: £5 per vehicle.

Large indoor swap meet and show n shine catering for aircooled and watercooled alike. Plenty of vehicles for sale outside.

Be warned: the onsite catering is very expensive and not nice. There are grotburger vans outside, or take your own.

Dreadzone Second Light re-release

Dreadzone's 1995 album Second Light is to be released on 5th March as a two disc special edition featuring a previously unreleased live set from Glastonbury 1995. Second Light, named by John Peel as one of his favourite albums of all time, has been remastered at the AIR Studios and is available to order on deluxe 2cd and download. The Second Light Special Edition comes with a cd of bonus material including the John Peel session track Maximum and a 45 minute live set from Glastonbury 1995.

SSVC night at the Ace Cafe

Tuesday December 20th is the last SSVC night at the Ace Cafe of the year and, thanks to the forthcoming changes to the LEZ, it will be the last night possible to attend for most diesel T25s and T4s without getting stung for £100. With that in mind let's have as many of these as possible there on the night for one last hurrah!

Coming up...

Sunday 13th November sees the Slough "National" Swapmeet, at the Montem Sports Hall. Now in its 28th year, it has become the traditional season closer and is as much a social day as a swapmeet. If you're after spending some money then get there early but if you're after a bimble and a natter then what's the rush.

Pollock has booked a table so although he'll be able to make a list he won't be able to do the shopping!

Doors open to the public at 9am.

As is the Lo 'E' Nuf way any cruzzes will be decided/organised by sometime on Saturday evening. Ask the usual suspects for details...

Updates update

A quick recap on Pollock's and Josh's progress so far.

Pollock is nearing the end of the "Not a body off rebuild" of his '72 Beetle, despite fitting the wrong headlights.

 

Current deadline is the Slough Swapmeet on Sunday 13th November so hopefully we'll see it there or he'll never hear the end of it.

Meanwhile Josh is nearing the end of the beginning of his Brazil or Bust rebuild. After running out of rusty metal to cut out he's moved onto removing the paint and glass.

Josh's deadline is Bug Jam but helpfully didn't specify which year...
